the movie of my namesake.
ponyo is the perfect name for me because 1) it is disney, 2) it is japanese, 3) it is little mermaid (based-off of that is), 4) is from the sea (like my original name, whale) and 5) it means “kinda like soft and jiggly. Something you wanna touch. Like a soft baby’s cheek or you junior high school math teacher’s boobies.”
the movie comes out in theaters in america this week! i’m so excited. of course i have already seen the japanese version, but who doesn’t want to hear tiny fey’s voice?
